WAVE London Exhibition

The exhibition, which has traveled to Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, and London, will finally be held in London.
High Street Kensington, where the venue is located, gives the impression of an elegant and highly cultured area (Bianca Jagger lives just behind it and Nick Cave walks down the street).
The name "Japan House" suggested a Japanese community, but it seemed to be recognized as an open place with a sense of style, and was crowded with a wide range of visitors.

On July 5, the day before the opening, a press preview and reception with 200 guests was held, followed by a DJ/VJ party by Enlightenment.
The gallery talk and gallery tours after the opening were also well attended, and we could sense the high level of interest in the exhibition from the responses and pertinent questions. Although we do not consider the reaction itself simply as an evaluation, we were even impressed by their attitude of confirming the exhibition with their eyes.
We had received reports of similar reactions in Los Angeles and Sao Paulo, where the event was held remotely due to the pandemic, and we finally feel as if we can believe it.

Japanese art, graphic art, is still going to be interesting.

ロサンゼルス、サンパウロと巡回してきた展覧会がロンドンいよいよロンドンで開催です。

会場のあるハイストリートケンジントンは上品な文化度の高いエリアという印象で（すぐ裏にビアンカジャガーが住んでいたり通りをニック・ケイブが歩いていたりする）
「Japan House」のネーミングから日本人コミュニティのようなものを想像していたのですが、センスのある開かれた場所として認知されているようで幅広い来場者で賑わっていました。

開幕前日の7/5にはプレス向け内覧会とゲスト200名参加のレセプションを開催、そのままエンライトメントによるDJ / VJパーティーへと大変な盛り上がりとなりました。
開幕後のギャラリートークやギャラリーツアーなどにも多くの参加者があり、その反応や的確な質問などからも関心の高さを実感。反応そのものを単純に評価とは考えませんが、目で見て確認する姿勢には感動すら覚えます。
パンデミックでリモート開催となったロサンゼルス、サンパウロでも同様の反応があったとの報告を受けていましたが、やっと信じられるような気持ちです。

日本のアート、グラフィックアート、まだまだ面白くなりそうです。
